Interior Design Service
102 Interiors can provide a stand-alone Interiors Service separate from the Design & Build operation.
This service is designed to enable you to make the most of your renovation, to avoid costly mistakes, maximise your rooms potential and produce the look and finish that you are looking for, but also, perhaps, to give you the confidence to explore design elements and combinations out of your comfort zone.
The service is divided into 3 areas, kitchens, bathrooms and other rooms.
Kitchens are the most complex and therefore the hardest to get completely right. There are always compromises, mainly on budget, but a well designed kitchen is a fabulous place to cook and relax in.
Bathrooms have their own challenges, mainly space Vs functionality. With cleaver storage and thoughtful design it is possible to have a relaxing retreat as well as a family bathroom rolled into one.
All other rooms have requirements in terms of layout, lighting and storage as well as colour, texture and finishes.
1. Initial meeting to discuss broadly scope of the project, i.e. how many rooms, complexities, possibilities, timelines and requirements.
2. Follow up meeting to take measurements, photographs and a detailed requirement specification.
3. Then 3 design meetings which would cover the look and feel of the space, any technical issues, lighting and most importantly, the budget. I have sample bags which I give to clients that contain tile, flooring and paint samples, as well as wallpaper, splash back and worktop samples where relevant.
4. A meeting with the contractor who is going to carry out the work to ensure that nothing is missed and that they know what they are expected to do and have all of the information they need.
5. A final sign off meeting.
Procurement
I will provide, as well as samples, a floor plan and elevations, 3-d visualisations (for illustrative purposes), technical specifications and any installation guides that may be relevant.
The initial meeting is free but if you decide to go ahead then my fee will be £250 plus the cost of any samples (tiles are usually free but paint samples mount up, having said that I do already have loads!).
How does that sound? Is there anything else you wold like me to consider adding?
