The Process
Initial Meetings
The first meeting is aimed at finding out what your ideas are, the problems you want solved and what is possible. We explain how we work, approximately how long it will take, examples of other builds and their costs. We also cover how you will cope with the building work and available start dates. Following this our construction partner Braidwood will come on the 2nd site visit. They will discuss the project further and, from the combined meetings, we will be able to provide ball park figures for the work.

Planning & Calculations
If the figures are agreeable then a Build Slot will be reserved and our architect will visit. He will advise on planning consent (if relevant), take photographs and measurements and draw up preliminary plans. We will have a planning meeting and make any necessary changes and, once the plans are signed off, we will submit the planning application. Once this is successful then the structural engineers will carry out the structural calculations.

Paperwork
Once we have the calculations e will be in a position to write the Detailed Estimate, containing the fixed construction and installation costs, and all other probable expenses. We firm up the start date and sign The Contract. Before the start date we provide a Client Cost Spreadsheet which details all of the phase payments and additional costs, this enables us to keep track of the spend with the aim of keeping the project in budget.

Site Visits
We encourage you to visit our live sites and completed kitchens. This enables you to see what you have to live through, including seeing the temporary kitchens, meet the teams (we have very low staff turnover), see the quality of the work and options for doors and finishes.
We have a good relationship with our ex-clients, we provide ongoing maintenance and carry out small jobs that other builders reject. We call these Pocket Jobs. |
Build Process
The build phases are described in the link below but additionally, every Friday night we email you with a Friday Night Update. This email details what has happened during the week and what will happen in the next week. Any problems will be detailed in this email, along with the agreed solutions. Any decisions, or payments, that the client needs to make are detailed here.

The Finish
We will provide a comprehensive snagging service for one calendar month after the work has finished, at that time the final phased payment should be paid. Any concerns or issues should be dealt with on a weekly basis during the work and we are confident that at this time we can leave you in peace to enjoy your kitchen.
